Intelligent
buildings few years ago were some kind of dream, but now they became
reality. Intelligent houses are standard in foreign countries and they
will become also a standard in Poland in few years. A very high standard
doesn’t have to mean high cost of exploitation. Sometimes buying modern
things we could save some money. This is also about LCN Intelligent
control system, because we could have bigger comfort, functionality,
safety and we may lower exploitation cost. |

ECONOMY

Many people investing forget about exploitation costs. They sometimes focus
on costs of investment, and later using is very expensive, the main point is
that we loose on heating, air-conditioning or lighting.
LCN
system will rationally control energy for example during night when
everybody sleeps the system will reduce the temperature, and in no living
places the temperature will be set to minimum and all the outputs will be
off; During summer when it is too sunny shutters or jalousies will go down
and the air-conditioning will be set to lower temperature or it shut all the
valves not allowing them to useless work.
LCN
can be uses in almost every kind of buildings- beginning from small houses
and ending on big buildings such as skyscrapers, hotels, public buildings,
sports arenas, banks etc. In public buildings can we use also the
“intelligence” of
LCN,
because our system can be associated with other system (alarm, fire-alarm,
heating, electricity network, safety control, access control). Thanks to
elasticity of
LCN
we can associate these systems into one. For example unless somebody is in
the room, air-conditioning will be turned on (but in summer the set
temperature will be lower), the windows will be closed, outputs turned off
and when somebody enters the room the doorkeeper should know it by turning
on a small lamp. And every change in system e.g. the heating does not work
properly, he also know it by a news and also the system sends special
information to people, who maintain the building and calls the service.

SAFETY

With
safety also there is connected alarm system, but actually this in not
everything, but we should also resort to means of precaution.
LCN
due to high technology not only informs about danger, but tries to do
something against it, e.g. in nighttime all jalousies or shutter will be
closed, and when someday without permission will enter the building the
light will turn on outside and turn on the watering system. This will try to
startle the intruder. When there is a real break in, the system will turn on
the cams, alarm horns, the shutters will be closed and the system calls the
police. Another situation is when the sensor will find big concentration of
gas, and then
LCN
automatically cuts of energy and gas, starts the warning program and call it
service and the owner. Intelligent installations not only work in case of
danger but they could warn too, e.g. when not all doors are close we cannot
turn off the light, during vacations the system can turn on and off lights
and jalousies or shutters periodically.
When talking about big buildings there is also access control. Thanks to
magnetic card or other thing that might have a built-in chip we can check
the length of employees work, people without permission can not enter the
building or the room. Visualization can control not wanted action, because
it shows every use of cards.

FUNCTIONALITY

In case of comfort
LCN is answer on
constantly high needs, it automatically do something, that earlier was made
as an obligatory action.
LCN is a new era in
functionality of systems – it can save some money, can make our house more
safety, but also it is comfort and simple use, control. Moreover in many
case human action can be limited to minimum.
LCN
can be connected with many other systems, creating one big intelligent
system, thanks to which pressing one button we can call out a lot of
functions that can be depended on presence of somebody, daytime or weather.
This is a so-called open system, so we can change some values and functions
when we use it and they are not programmed.
Examples of
functionalities of LCN
might be: abilities of creating of light scenes,
tuning off and on all the light in the building by pressing only one button,
controlling jalousies, shutters and air-conditioning to maintain the same
climate, opening the gate with infrared remote control, knowing the settings
of other devices, and the changing them into before state. These functions
can be also made from the internet or normal cellular phone. If there are
such need, LCN can
also inform the owner abort changes in system by sending SMS. This is just a
small piece of information of capabilities of
LCN, and there is more and more functions, that
can everybody imagine.
